Tipplasty is performed on patients who only want a slight improvement on the tip of the nose without any changes to the overall look of the nose.
Why is Tipplasty Performed?
Tipplasty is generally performed to shape, change, reduce the size of the tip of the nose to ensure it is proportional to the complete look of the nose.
Tipplasty and Recovery
Compared to rhinoplasty, tipplasty is a shorter procedure and depending on the treatment it can be performed under general and/or local anaesthesia.
If the patient has breathing problems, this could be resolved at the same time as tipplasty.
