A second intervention may be needed if results weren’t as expected the first time. In these cases, a second rhinoplasty is performed to improve the overall look of the nose. We treat patients who require amendments from previous surgeries.
How is the operation performed?
Procedures can be separated into 2 separate categories. The first is the simple revision of small changes to the tip of the nose and/or rasping down the bony hump. The other more complicated treatment is the operation where pieces of spinal cord bones and cartliage tissue may need to be operated on.
It is highly recommended that the patients don’t rush into a revision operation after the rhinoplasty. Approximately 6 months to 1 year should be allowed between treatments to ensure that the nose is properly functioning and patients’ sense of smell is unintrupted.
